Details

Introduced in March 1913 these belts were designed to be used in conjunction with the braces, attach. Originally intended for Pipers and Range Takers, they were subsequently issued to many troops who were not issued a rifle.

The belt has two two inch buckles on the rear which are mounted without the tabs. Two one inch buckles are mounted at an angle on the inside of the belt to take the diagonal strap of the braces, attach. In May 1915 the length of the belts was altered to include three sizes, these being large (56 inches), medium (50 inches) and small (44 inches). Our reproduction belts are available in medium and large, each size being increased by two inches. In all other respects these belts conform to the originals. The medium belt will fit waist sizes from 92cm (30") to 107cm (40"), large 102cm (40") to 127 cm (50").
