These rank badges are excellent reproductions of those used by the Australian Imperial Force during the First World War. Australia continued to use rank badges that had been replaced by Britain and most other Commonwealth countries prior to the wars beginning. Despite this however, many of the badges remained the same and most of these would be suitable for other Commonwealth armies.
Rank chevrons are made of chevron lace sewn to a khaki wool backing. Other badges are embroidered in cotton on a khaki wool backing.
