Approved in July 1916 the wounded stripe was worn by officers and men wounded after the 4th August 1914. The wounded stripe was worn on the lower left arm. Multiple awards were worn with a 1/2 inch space between each badge.
Originally stripes of gold Russia No.1 braid two inches in length were sewn to the service dress. By late war however, the stripes were being made in brass.
These badges have been copied from an original example. They are high quality die struck reproductions in brass.
For further information on the wounded stripe see our article in the Badges & Insignia section within Information: Uniforms and Equipment.
