The British Army Scottish officer's sword has an acid etched, stainless steel blade in nickel plated fittings. The guard is nickel plated steel. It is lined with blue ribbon bound, red wool faced leather. The pommel has a red thread tassel. The acid etching is of a design peculiar to the Scottish regiment and features a thistle pattern design with the royal cypher. The scabbard is wood, covered with brown leather with nickel plated steel mouth.
