Made by Akubra Hats in Kempsey NSW Australia these slouch hats are made to Australian army standard. Akubra Hats, formerly known as Dunkerly, has been a supplier to the Australia Army since the First World War. Made of 100% fur felt, these slouch hats have an 89mm brim, brass clip for raising the left side and are available in sizes 55 to 63.

A reproduction of the slouch hat worn by Australian Light Horse (mounted infantry) in the First World War these slouch hats have the following accoutrements: a reproduction First/Second World War Hat Badge (King's Crown), an original Second World War chin strap, reproduction wool hat band, and reproduction emu plume. The Light Horse continued between the wars as militia (reserve) units. At the beginning of the Second World War Light Horse units were raised as part of the 2nd AIF but by 1941 all had been mechanised - the newly created armoured units dropping their old titles. Recently the Australian Army Armoured Corps and Reserve Armoured units adopted the emu plume as part of their head dress.

A reproduction of the slouch hat worn by Australian forces in the First World War these slouch hats have the following accoutrements: a reproduction First/ Second World War Hat Badge (King's Crown), an original Second World War chin strap, and reproduction wool hat band. The slouch hat did not vary until the latter years of the Second World War, when the folded pugaree was adopted. Australian soldiers of the Second World War, until the last couple of years of the war, wore a slouch hat unvaried from the First World War model.

In an effort to instil esprit de corps in his newly raised division General Monash applied for and was granted approval for all 3rd Division troops to wear their hats with the brim flat and the badge attached to the front of the hat band. This hat has the following accoutrements: a reproduction First/ Second World War Hat Badge (King's Crown), an original Second World War chin strap, and reproduction wool hat band.
