Austrian M58 Helmet

Click for large image. Introduced in 1958 these helmets replaced US made M1s previously used by the Bundesheer. Known by the Bundesheer as "Stahlhelm 2", these helmets are almost identical to the US M1. The liner in made from green plastic and has a grey artificial leather sweatband. The helmets come complete with net. They are in good condition although they do have some minor dents. .

Belgian M51 Helmet

Click for large image. These helmets are a close copy of the US M1 Helmet. The liners are made from grey plastic. The helmet is a light blue and has a Belgian flag decal on the left side. The webbing chin strap is a grey blue colour. We are not sure what service these helmets were made for but suspect they may have been issued to the Navy. The helmets are in excellent condition.

Bulgarian M36C Helmet

Click for large image. Adopted before WW2 there are three variations of the M36 helmet, A, B and C. The A has a rolled edge, is made from a heavier gauge of metal, and has a more pronounced crest. The B has no rolled edge, while the C has no rolled edge and a less distinct crest as well as a different method of attaching the liner. These helmets are of the C type. The helmets we have have been refurbished. They are in very good condition.

Bulgarian M72 Helmet

Click for large image. After WW2 Bulgaria adopted a helmet based upon Soviet designs. Known as the M51 it resembled the Italian M33 helmet closely. The M72 was an improved version of this helmet, with minor changes made to the vents and liner. Despite the adoption of a kevlar helmet, the M72, M51, and M36C remain in use today. These helmets are refurbished. They are in excellent condition.

Danish M41 Helmet

Click for large image. Similiar in shape to the earlier Model 23 helmet, the Model 41 is made from a thinner steel and is substantially lighter. Possibly designed for civil defence use, the helmet has a small hole in the front for affixing a badge (unfortunately the badge is now missing). These helmets appear to have been refurbished following the Second World War. The liners have been changed to those used on the Model 48 helmet and are similiar in design to the US M1 helmet liner. These helmets are in excellent condition. The liners appear to have seen very little use. The shells have some minor damage to the paint.

East German Model 56 Helmet

Click for large image. Adopted in 1956 this model of helmet remained in service, with minor modifications, until the reunification. This is the last pattern of M56 helmet with no external rivets. Resembling a flattened German Second World War helmet, the liner is made of a combination of leather and plastic. The helmet shell is painted olive green. The helmets are unissued and show no signs of wear.

French M51 Helmet

Click for large image. This helmet was introduced by the French in the 1950s. Basically a copy of the US M1 steel helmet, the shape differs slightly, being deeper and slightly wider than the US helmet. Like the US helmets the liner is detachable and can be adjusted to fit many different sizes. These helmets are unissued and show no sign of wear.

Polish WZ50/60 Helmet

Externally this helmet resembles the Russian Ssh40 helmet closely. The liner, however, is leather. The helmets show very little wear and are in excellent condition.

Swiss Model 1918/40

Click for large image. The Swiss Model 1918/40 is a similar shape to the First World War German helmet though it is a wider helmet and has greater ear protection. The shell is a textured dark grey colour. The padded liner is made from leather. These helmets are in excellent condition. The liners do show some signs of use. All helmets come complete with a reversible camouflage cover.

Swiss M71 Helmet

Click for large image. The M71 helmet is both smaller and more narrow than the Model 1918/40. The shell is a textured dark olive finish. The liner is made from leather. These helmets are in excellent condition. All helmets come complete with a flecktarn camouflage cover.

Swedish Model 1926

Click for large image. The Swedish Model 1926 departed from the swept design of the the earlier Model 1921. A more rounded shape it does not feature the crests of the earlier model. The shell is painted a dark olive green, and the liner is made from a combination of webbing and leather. These helmets are unissued and all helmets come complete with an original instruction booklet.

United States M1 Liner

Click for large image. The M1 helmet liner, externally, resembles the helmet itself very closely. It is painted a dark green and has a rough finish to reduce reflection. The liner, however, is made from plastic. These liners have their webbing supports and leather headbands and are in unissued condition.

United States Sun Helmet

Though not widely issued or used the sun helmet was issued to some units during the Vietnam War. These sun helmets are a wide brimmed hat made of a fibreglass material. They have an adjustable leather liner. These helmets are unissued. Packed in boxes dated 1968 they show no signs of wear. The helmet is also available, for $10.00 more, with either the USMC or Army Officer's hat badge attached.

USSR Ssh68 Helmet

The Ssh68 helmet was the last pattern of steel helmet used in the USSR. It has a very simple oil cloth liner fixed by four rivets. The helmet was designed in such a way as to allow it to be worn over other head coverings in cold conditions.

The helmets we have in stock are unissued. They have some extremely minor marks to the paint as a result of storage.

West German M60 Helmet

Click for large image. The M60 helmet was the first German designed helmet adopted by the Bundeswehr. Externally the helmet resembles the M1 closely. The shape remains unchanged and is painted in a dark olive green. However, the liner is based upon traditional German liners and is significantly different. Made of leather the liner is sized. The helmets in stock are in excellent condition. The helmet shell has very minor external markings and the liner shows little sign of use. Complete with flecktarn camouflage cover.
