The Beretta Model 70 was introduced in 1958 and replaced the earlier Model 948. While it retained the typical Beretta shape it was streamlined and had a cross bolt safety, a hold open device and a push button magazine release.

Externally this pistol shows wear. The majority of the blueing is worn and the plastic grips have some marks. The pistol has seen a use however, and the barrel is in good condition.
