Introduced in 1920, the 'New Model' Melior was made by Liegeoise d'Armes a Feu Robar et Cie of Liege, Belgium. Originally available in 6.35mm and 7.65mm it was later offered in both .22 LR and 9mm Short. The 'New Model' resembled the 1910 Browning in general appearance however, differed in construction. It was a good quality product and remained on sale into the 1950s.

This pistol appears to have been refinished at some time being both polished and reblued. The grips have minor marks however, are in good condition. It has seen use and the barrel is worn and pitted.
