Renewed Ex-Military Rifles
As government disposals of ex-military bolt-action rifles diminish, quantities of good condition ex-military bolt-action rifles are becoming more difficult to locate. Prices for original rifles are steadily increasing, and rifles which were formerly common are now offered for sale only rarely at auctions. Steadily increasing prices now mean many rifles once used for military target shooting are beyond the reach of many shooters. This situation only worsens as further years pass.
In an attempt to counter this trend we have now begun a program of renewing ex-military rifles. This program involves the complete renewal of rifles using original unused, and reconditioned parts. Rifles are first selected by the condition of the barrel and receiver. These rifles are then stripped to their component parts. All parts are thoroughly examined and those found to be unuseable or missing are replaced. All metal components are then polished and re-blued where necessary. The rifles are then re-assembled, old woodwork being replaced by unused military or reproduced parts.
Although these rifles are by no means marketed as limited editions, the continued availability of renewed rifles depends largely upon a finite supply of parts. We therefore anticipate interrupted and limted supply of these rifles.
