The CWU 45/P is Alpha's version of the current US Air Force cold weather flight jacket. The jacket features a water repellent 100% nylon flight satin outer shell, quilted nylon lining and polyester interlining. The double stitched front cargo pockets are fully lined and have velcro closure. The jacket also has a front zipper closure with storm flap, and knit cuffs and waistband. A velcro patch with Alpha logo is also included.
This jacket is available in gunmetal or black.
In 1959 the US Department of Defense recruited Alpha Industies to redesign its military jacket. Alpha reengineered outdated designs making garments which were warmer, more comfortable and durable. Since the mid-1960’s Alpha has continuously manufactured the M-65 Field Jacket, and have produced virtually every MA-1 Flight Jacket used by US Air Force, Army and Navy pilots. All told, Alpha Industries has produced over 40 million pieces of military outerwear to perform under the most severe conditions imaginable.
