The CWU Pilot is a current adaptation from the iconic 45/P Flight Jacket. A washed nylon shell protects against the elements and provides a unique ‘distressed’ look. The jacket is fully lined with quilted nylon. Assorted flight patches give the authentic feel of a well-seasoned fighter pilot. The jacket also has a front zipper closure with storm flap, cargo pockets with Velcro closure, and knit cuffs and waistband.
This jacket is available in brown only at this time.
In 1959 the US Department of Defense recruited Alpha Industies to redesign its military jacket. Alpha reengineered outdated designs making garments which were warmer, more comfortable and durable. Since the mid-1960’s Alpha has continuously manufactured the M-65 Field Jacket, and have produced virtually every MA-1 Flight Jacket used by US Air Force, Army and Navy pilots. All told, Alpha Industries has produced over 40 million pieces of military outerwear to perform under the most severe conditions imaginable.
