The Authentic Alpha MA-1 Flight Jacket, often copied but never duplicated. This is the classic jacket made by Alpha Industries for the military for over 40 years. Issued to the U.S. Air Force and Navy pilots, the most recognizable feature is the jacket.
Features include a water repellent 100% nylon flight satin outer shell and polyester interlining; front zipper closure with storm flap; knit collar, cuffs and waistband; and Alpha signature utility/pencil pocket.
In 1959 the US Department of Defense recruited Alpha Industies to redesign its military jacket. Alpha reengineered outdated designs making garments which were warmer, more comfortable and durable. Since the mid-1960’s Alpha has continuously manufactured the M-65 Field Jacket, and have produced virtually every MA-1 Flight Jacket used by US Air Force, Army and Navy pilots. All told, Alpha Industries has produced over 40 million pieces of military outerwear to perform under the most severe conditions imaginable.
