LIMITED EDITION. The Alpha 50th Anniversary Jacket is an authentically styled "vintage" MA-1. The jacket's washed nylon shell and subtle hints of discoloration gives it a properly "faded" appearance and accurately recreates that decades-old patina of age. In addition, the limited production run will surely make this jacket a collector's item.
Features include a 100% nylon outershell, two front handwarmer pockets, stitched collar, heavy-duty antiqued brass zipper over an inside windflap, three interior pockets, zippered utility-pen pocket on the left sleeve, webbing & D-rings on the jacket's front (for attaching a watch or other accessories), multiple vintage-style embroidered patches on the front & sleeves, white "ALPHA" and "U.S.A.F." name tapes on the left chest (which are attached via velcro and easily removable), and knit cuffs & waistband. And for added authenticity, there's even stenciling on the jacket's back along with a reflective strip like those worn by USAF ground crews.
All in all, this is one of the finest MA-1s we've seen and serves as a fitting tribute to the five-decade history of Alpha Industries. Color: Vintage Sage Green.

In 1959 the US Department of Defense recruited Alpha Industies to redesign its military jacket. Alpha reengineered outdated designs making garments which were warmer, more comfortable and durable. Since the mid-1960’s Alpha has continuously manufactured the M-65 Field Jacket, and have produced virtually every MA-1 Flight Jacket used by US Air Force, Army and Navy pilots. All told, Alpha Industries has produced over 40 million pieces of military outerwear to perform under the most severe conditions imaginable.
