East German Army General's Parade Cap

This Army (Heer) General's parade cap is made of the standard grey material used for all officer's caps. It is distinguished from other officer's caps by the red piping around the crown and red hat band. It has gold hat cords instead of the standard silver and the badge is gold and placed on a wool backing.

Although East German uniforms and equipment were relatively common in the 1990s in recent years they have been becoming rarer. General's uniforms have never been particularly common however, and this cap is an oustanding collectors piece.
