British WW2 2nd Pattern FS (Ribbed & Beaded) Knife

The 'Ribbed & Beaded' FS knife is so named because of the distinctive handle which has rows of beaded rings seperated by rows of plain rings. These knives were made by J.Rodgers in autumn 1942. The handle is cast brass, to which a black finish was applied. The blade was blued steel. The 'Ribbed & Beaded' FS knife is extremely rare.

This knife has substantial damage to the blade. The tip is broken and there are areas of heavy pitting. The handle is in very good condition, although the majority of the black finish is missing. An examiners mark (↑7) is marked on the handle near the guard.
