Introduced in 1943 the M3 'fighting' or 'trench' knife had been specifically designed for Ranger and Airborne troops however, was issued to all troops not armed with a bayonet. Originally issued with the leather M6 scabbard, this was replaced by the M8 scabbard in 1944.
These M3 'fighting' knives are made by Ontario to original military specifications.
