CAS Hanwei's line of miniature swords, despite their size, are crafted in much the same way as their full size counterparts. The high carbon steel blades are forged and heat tempered. The handles are traditionally covered, the Japanese miniature katana being wrapped in cotton ito by hand over real same with a wood core. The miniature Japanese katana also have a wooden saya (scabbard) with buffalo horn accents and a high quality lacquered finish. Each piece in this high quality series is furnished with a display stand and in it's own presentation box, making an exceptional gift.
