This sword, a type XVIIIa, would have been used between 1350 and 1400. The effective cutting blade tapers to a sharp, deadly point. The W grip allows for one or two handed use. It has a high carbon steel blade and steel guard and pommel. The grip is wood, wrapped with cord then bound in leather. Wide tang construction. Leather scabbard.
