Details

Made by BSA in 1943, this No.4 Mk.I rifle has the the rough external finish peculiar to rifles of this period. The parts are blued rather than painted, a finish adopted later in the war. The woodwork is walnut, and like the metal parts has a rougher finish than that normally found on British rifles.

This rifle has minimal wear to the blued finish, and a number of small marks, dings, and dents on the woodwork. The barrel shows little wear and there is no pitting. Serial numbers (bolt and receiver) are matching.

This rifle has a trigger guard that is of welded construction, a wartime expediency rarely encountered on rifles.
