These water bottle carriers are made by Canadian manufacturer Zephyr Loom and Textile and are of the first 'skeleton frame' type. They are original WWII manufacture. Held in store for many years they are in unissued condition.

Details
The water bottle carrier was of similiar design to the WE08 being made entirely of 1 inch webbing. The securing strap for the bottle was first in two pieces the straps securing by a press stud at the top of the bottle. The majority of examples have a single strap secured by a press stud at the front of the water bottle.
During the Second World War a new design was introduced known as the 'bucket' type. This consisted of a sleeve of webbing with a 1 inch strap running on either side and on the bottom of the water bottle with two buckles attached.
