Similar in shape to the earlier Model 23 helmet, the Model 41 is made from a thinner steel and is substantially lighter. Possibly designed for civil defence use, the helmet has a small hole in the front for affixing a badge (unfortunately the badge is now missing).

Similar in shape to the earlier Model 23 helmet, the Model 41 is made from a thinner steel and is substantially lighter. Possibly designed for civil defence use, the helmet has a small hole in the front for affixing a badge (unfortunately the badge is now missing).

These helmets appear to have been refurbished following the Second World War. The liners have been changed to those used on the Model 48 helmet and are similar in design to the US M1 helmet liner. These helmets are in excellent condition. The liners appear to have seen very little use although the shells have some damage to the paint.
