The Ssh-68 helmet was the last pattern of steel helmet used in the USSR. It has a very simple oil cloth liner fixed by four rivets. The helmet was designed in such a way as to allow it to be worn over other head coverings in cold conditions.

Details

A development of the combined-arms helmet SSh-60, the Ssh-68 was strengthened, has a more obtuse front slope of the dome, and a shorter outer edge. The Ssh-68 helmet was the last pattern of steel helmet used in the USSR. It has a very simple oil cloth liner fixed by four rivets. The helmet was designed in such a way as to allow it to be worn over other head coverings in cold conditions.

The helmets we have in stock are unissued. They all have minor marks to the external paint as a result of storage.
