The USSR produced a dazzlingly large array of ammunition pockets. This style, adopted following the Second World War, were modelled on pockets that had been first adopted in 1937. Each pocket is designed to hold 15 rounds of 7.62x54mmR ammunition (in three chargers).
The pockets are made of kirza, a synthetic leather material. The corners of the flaps are reinforced with leather. All straps are likewise made of leather.
These pockets are in unissued condition, although all will have minor storage marks.
