Australian mounted troops used a variety of horse shoe cases during the First World War. These reproductions have been copied from a period example. Designed to hold a two spare horse shoes (one fore and one hind) and nails, the case attaches to the saddle tree and 'v' attachment above girth. The loop and short strap on the outside of the case are for the scabbard of the 1908 sword.

This reproduction case is made from high quality, drum dyed, full grain leather. The buckles and studs are solid brass. The rivets are tin plated copper.
