This Spanish rolling block bayonet is in very good condition. The markings on the blade are clear and the locking ring is fully functional. The socket still shows the original finish while the blade still shows some of its original polish

The serial number of the rifle it was matched with at manufacture is stamped to the side of the socket. This bayonet does not come with a scabbard

The Spanish Government adopted the Remington rolling block rifle design in 1871. Since the invention of the rolling block in 1863, and its modification to a centre fire rifle, many European countries adopted the design for their armies.
