This rifle has wear to the blued finish, and a number of marks, dings, and dents on the woodwork. The barrel shows wear and has pitting throughout.
This rifle has a number of rare wartime expediencies. The rifle has no half-cock, and the cocking piece has been made without the grooves normally found on this part. The trigger guard is of welded construction. The magazine has been converted from a Mk.III model. The front barrel band is of pressed metal construction.
