Designed for the 8mm Hakim self-loading rifle, a variation of the 6.5mm Swedish AG42b Ljungman rifle, the Hakim bayonet is closely patterned after the Swedish Model 1896 bayonet. The Hakim bayonet has a conventional tang, however, as well as wood grip scales, to provide additional clearance for the Hakim's muzzle brake.
