The M17 scabbard is in very good condition. There are a number of small scratches and marks to the body and much of the finish has worn from the locket.
Adopted for use with the Model 1917 rifle (a conversion of the British Pattern 1914 rifle), the Model 1917 bayonet was identical to the British Pattern 1913 bayonet except for the markings.
