Australian P' 37 Entrenching Tool Cover

The entrenching tool carrier was listed seperately to the WE37, and is therefore technically not part of that equipment. The carrier was a redesigned WE08 entrenching tool head carrier, two loops being added to the face of the carrier to take the helve.

These carriers are made by various Australian manufacturers. Interestingly the edges of the carrier are bound with additional webbing possibly as a means of reducing fraying (Australian webbing being of considerably poorer quality than either British or Canadian webbing). They are in unissued condition.
