German Walther P1 9mm Pistol (370809)

In late 1963 the P1 was adopted for use by the German military, identifiable by the P1 stamping on the slide. The P1 has an aluminium frame rather than the steel frame of the original P38 design. The aluminum frame was later reinforced with a hex bolt above the trigger guard.

Developed in the late 1930s to replace the P08 (Luger), the P38 was adopted by the German Army in 1938. Production of the P38 began in 1940.

This pistol is in excellent condition. There is very minor wear to the original finish and the original grips have minor marks only. The pistol does not appear to have been fired and the barrel is in excellent condition.
