Introduced in 1871, this sling was originally made of buff leather. The last style of buff leather sling used by the British army, in later years it was made in leather. During the Second World War this sling was still being made and used in Australia.
These reproductions have been copied from a Australian Second World War example and are made from high quality, drum dyed, full grain leather. Rivets are tin plated copper.
