Australian Leather Sling

Introduced in 1871, this sling was originally made of buff leather. The last style of buff leather sling used by the British army, in later years it was made in leather. During the Second World War this sling was still being made and used in Australia.

Although undated, this original sling was most likely made in Australian during the Second World War. The sling is marked with an inspectors mark.
